Returns Policy
We want you to love every Fame Tan product. If something isn’t right, here’s how returns work — read this carefully before placing an order, especially the bit about opened products.
★ Important — Hygiene Policy
For health and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns on any product that has been opened, used, unsealed or had its tamper-evident seal broken. This applies to all tanning lotions, bronzers, intensifiers, accelerators, tingles, and after-tan products. UK consumer law (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, reg. 28(3)(d)) specifically permits this exemption for cosmetics on hygiene grounds.
Your right to cancel — unopened products
If you change your mind and the product is still in its original sealed packaging, you have 14 days from the date you receive your order to let us know you want to return it. This is your statutory right under UK consumer law.
How to return an unopened product:
- Email us at globaltanninglotions@gmail.com within 14 days of receipt to notify us of your wish to return.
- Include your order number, the items being returned, and the reason.
- Return the item to us within 14 days of notification, in its original unopened, unused, undamaged packaging with all seals intact.
- You are responsible for the cost of returning the item to us (unless it is faulty or wrongly supplied — see below).
- We recommend using a tracked postal service. Items lost in return transit cannot be refunded.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will refund the full amount you paid (including any original delivery charge if you return the full order) to your original payment method within 14 days of receiving the goods back.
Refunds for partial orders will cover the product cost only, not the original shipping charge.
Faulty, damaged, or wrongly-supplied items
If your order arrives damaged in transit, or you receive the wrong product, or a product is faulty — contact us within 30 days of receipt at globaltanninglotions@gmail.com with your order number and a photo of the issue.
We will arrange a free return (we cover postage in these cases) and either replace the item or issue a full refund — your choice.
What can’t be returned
- Any product that has been opened, used, or had its seal broken — for hygiene and safety reasons.
- Sachets that have been opened, even partially.
- Bundles where any one component has been opened.
- Products purchased on final-sale or clearance promotions, where indicated at point of sale.
- Towels, cosmetic bags, and other accessories where the original packaging or tags have been removed.
Allergic reactions or sensitivity
We recommend that you patch-test any new tanning product on a small area of skin 24 hours before full use. If you experience an adverse reaction despite this precaution, please stop using the product immediately and contact your GP if symptoms persist.
Unfortunately, because every customer’s skin is different, we cannot offer refunds on opened products based on sensitivity reactions. We strongly encourage trying a 15ml sachet of a product before committing to a full 200ml bottle.
International orders
The 14-day return policy applies to international orders too, but customers outside the UK are responsible for return postage costs and any customs duties or import charges incurred in either direction. International returns must be sent at the customer’s own risk and cost.
